Mythos is a wellness mobile app that transforms your workout and fitness routines into an emotional personal development story. At its core,
Mythos processes data from recorded workout footage such as the number of repetitions, pose hold duration, and other biomechanical metrics to
feed its system, which evaluates and scores performance in real time. Up to this point, it may resemble other data-driven fitness apps whose
main goal is to measure exercises and provide general feedback to users.
However, Mythos goes a step further by using this collected data to create a coherent visual and narrative layer on top of the raw footage, centered around a
theme often inspired by a role model, superhero, or meaningful personal concept that reflects the user’s own motivation.
For example, take Dragon Ball as a classic case: the user uploads their workout recording, and as they progress, the app adds dynamic visual effects around them like glowing auras,
hair transformations, or themed text overlays that reflect the energy and progression of a Saiyan (a warrior race in the Dragon Ball universe). Motivational messages tied to the
chosen theme appear throughout, celebrating the user’s effort in a personalized, immersive way. The idea is to let each user embody their own version of a hero or role model.
Simply put, Mythos pays tribute to the effort users put into their workouts by creating an enhanced, story-driven visual experience that resonates emotionally. It’s something that speaks to both
their body and their spirit.
System Overview
While Mythos is still in active development, its core system has already been prototyped and tested successfully. The app operates through a modular pipeline that connects three main layers:
-
Capture & Analysis Layer: This module interprets user-recorded workout footage, extracting performance data such as repetitions, pose accuracy, and timing using computer vision and AI pose
estimation tools.
-
Performance Evaluation Layer: Here, motion data is processed in real time to assess form and consistency, generating a contextual performance score that evolves with each session.
-
Generative Feedback Layer: The collected data drives an adaptive visual and textual narrative overlay. This layer synchronizes effects, themes, and feedback, effectively transforming raw
effort into an emotionally resonant story.
Each layer is designed to operate independently while communicating through lightweight data streams, enabling flexible integration with mobile or web-based environments as the project evolves.
